Gospel Medical Missionaries (GMM)

• Train a well-disciplined, well-balanced, informed, spiritual army of GMM volunteers who will actively and systemically present the Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) health message in and outside of the church (Testimonies for the Church, volume 6, page 289; Testimonies for the Church, volume 7, page 59).
• Make New York a symbol of what God wants to do in the world in terms of Medical Missionary work (Psalm 67:1-2; Testimonies for the Church, volume 7, page 37).
• Work in association with the NEC Health Ministries Director and department to fulfill its mission and goals and with the local churches and their Health Ministries directors.
• Promote health ministries in harmony with the Bible, the writings of Ellen G. White and science that supports the Bible and Ellen G. White.
• Promote a holistic approach to health, by focusing on the spiritual, social, physical, financial, mental, and emotional aspects of health.
• Identify, inspire, and utilize all willing health professionals throughout NEC to help in promoting and sharing the Health Message within our churches and in our communities, and encourage them to become GMM.
• Utilize all pertinent media to effectively communicate our unique SDA Health Message to our constituency and to our non-SDA community for good public relations.
• Fulfill the divine ideal of uniting the ministers and medical professionals in working for the salvation of souls (Medical Ministry, page 237; Evangelism, page 518-19).
• Train and equip each church or a group of churches in NEC to develop natural health education rooms or centers and ultimately work with NEC to build a God-designed sanitarium at Camp Victory Lake (Testimonies for the Church, volume 6, page 289; Testimonies for the Church, volume 7, page 59).
• Educate GMM and our churches concerning the prophesied deception by exposing the spiritualistic deceptions in health and healing today (Matthew 24:24; 2 Corinthians 11:12-14; Revelation 16:13; Counsels on Health, page 506; Selected Messages, book 2, page 53; Evangelism, pages 606-607).

Establish chapters oF GMM throughout the United States and the world, based on the fact that Ellen G. White said that medical missionary work is to cover the earth as the waters cover the sea (Counsels on Health, page 317).

The membership of the GMM composed of trained GMM’S of churches in the Northeastern Conference and members from other conferences who were trained by Northeastern Conference Health Ministries Department. Any other medical missionary who may want to be a member of this movement, send a written request for membership to the GMM Executive Committee. This should include an official letter from his/her current pastor or church to verify standing with the SDA church.
